February Cover Story: Middleburg Life

It was in November after Mr. M and I hosted our friends at the Salamander Resort and Spa to celebrate the launch of Recreational Habits that I emailed Middleburg Life to introduce myself and our brand. I connected with Jennifer Grey, the Editor-In-Chief of Middleburg Life, and what I was hoping would be a small mention in the magazine of our brand turned into so much more!

Turns out, the magazine was looking to fill their February covid-wedding feature and happened to be looking for a newly wed couple. With a nudge and some convincing, I was able to get Mr. M out of his comfort zone to agree to be in the photoshoot with me and we quickly began working on the story with Jennifer and the publication.

A few phone calls, two fittings, and a day of shooting in the cold, our story for Middleburg Life came to life. We are thrilled and honored to be featured on the cover of Middleburg Life’s February issue and are so grateful to all of those involved in the process and outcome. It is a privilege to share our story and the Recreational Habits mission with you all and with the community that we now call home.

Since moving from New York City, to Middleburg, Virginia, we have been so overwhelmed with the warm welcome our family has received. As a unit we look forward to giving back to our wonderful and diverse new community in the weeks, months, and years ahead. Our cover and feature means so much to us as it celebrates our love story, our family, our relocation to Middleburg, and Recreational Habits.
