Equestrian
Whether your a returning jumper or a newbie to horses, Middleburg is the perfect place to get on a horse. Salamander Resort has trail rides to join or lessons, and Red Gate Farm offers lessons to the public. Both are highly coveted, so be sure you plan your lessons ahead of time.
Golf
There’s not too many golf courses in this beautiful horse country, but we love the greens at Bull Run Golf Club. Open to the public, you can sign up for a tee time directly on their website. The price to play can range from $70-$100 per person for 18 holes. Its a well manicure course that will be sure to challenge your Recreational Habit.
Farm
If you’re traveling with littles, the highly engaging Great Country Farms may be the place for you. A 400 acre working farm situated at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains outside the village of Bluemont, VA. With rides, slides, and a working farm, its a wonderful educational experience to visitors of all ages.
