Who’s Your Caddie?
So, who really is your caddie?
Your caddie is your greatest asset on and off the fairway. With much of your time spent on the course, your caddie is the man that keeps you out of the rough, on and off the greens. With an average round of golf taking 4.5 hours, you spend significant time together, especially if you are a regular player, and while he may offer priceless knowledge about which club to use when and how to play the hole, he is also your greatest confidant. He hears about your relationships, romantic and professional, he knows about your business dealings, the wins and the loses, and he knows about the skeletons in your closet, whether you realize it or not. Your caddie is the one person by default that you hand over your complete trust to.
Who you think your caddie is:
· Carries your golf bag during the round
· Hands you the correct club for the shot at hand
· knows the distances to the hole
· knows the difference between a 4-iron and a 9-iron
· knows the golf course better than anyone
· Offers invaluable insight strategy insight
· Keeps track of your strokes.
What your caddie really is:
· Greatest teammate
· He stands by you
· Supports and cheers you on to be the best player and man
· Supports you and plays part-time psychologist when you are losing on and off the fairway
· He tells you the truth at all costs
· Gives you advice that extends far beyond the rough
· A great listener and confidant
· Your best man
Your Caddie is more than someone who carries your bag and gives you guidance as you navigate the course. He’s like the best man at your wedding, your greatest teammate. He stands by you, supports you, and has your back. Without your best man, who do you have to lean on and ask for advice? He is your friend and therapist rolled into one.
