I have always been impressed by the Olympians Wilma Rudolph and Florence Joyner, who both disrupted the games on an international level. Looking at the vintage athletic images, we saw so many pictures of cheerleaders and women in their boyfriend’s letterman jackets, so it’s amazing to see how many female athletes and teams are celebrated today. Although we still have a long way to go to recognize women for their athleticism, we are hopeful and excited to watch and see these teams develop.
