Paris Street Style Trend Report

As early as the 1700’s , Paris designers were hosting fashion shows for their fabulous clientele, and over 200 years later Paris has been and remains an international hub of trends and styles that seep across the pond into our Instagram feeds, magazines, and our closets. When looking to see what will be in next season, you never need to look any further than the streets of Paris. With Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week concluded we rounded up our favorite looks and broke them down by trend so you know what to keep an eye out for when you start shopping for your revamped Fall wardrobe.

Your Best Accessory is Your Best Friend

Gone are the days of social distancing and staying six feet apart, (finally!), and the streets of Paris certainly showed proof of that. No need for the newest and hottest bag of the season when you have your bestie in tow, and lots of plaid!

Green with Envy

Green, in all of its hues, is such a fabulous color and one that symbolizes freshness, hope, and new beginnings. That seems pretty fitting after 16 months in lock down. While we spotted lots of green on the streets of Paris, mint was certainly the shade that was spotted the most and seems to be having a big moment right now. Maybe because it makes our mid-July tans pop a little extra?

Orange (Might Be) The New Pink

“Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed." - Elle Woods

Sorry Elle, while we totally agree with you because we love a major pink moment, it looks like orange is the preferred color amongst the two this season with the street style stars. Not much pink was spotted, but it was hard to miss the stunning tangerine tones.

Dare to Rock the Flare

Skinny Jeans? We don’t know her. Maybe after a year in sweatpants, we have come to appreciate the comfort of a more relaxed casual style. That is not to say that flare jeans are casual, just that they are not ‘try hard’, they make you look effortlessly cool and chic.

Nudes, With a Twist

Remember a few years ago when everyone was rocking paired back monochromatic styles head to toe? The influx of nudes, blushes and earth tones was fabulous at the time, but street stars and designers alike are re-envisioning the nudes and giving them a 2021 makeover by incorporating prints and texture into the garments.
