3 Easy Spring Looks
The freshness of Spring brings about so much excitement in our house, especially with the hopeful return to IRL school on the horizon. As a family we love running outside, trail rides, picnics, and all of the other amazing opportunities the warmer and longer days bring. While the kids are excited for Spring break, I am as equally excited about wearing skirts and shorts and dresses!
See below for some easy Spring looks to get into the spirit of warmer days.
For Errands Around Town
When running errands around town, all I want to do is get in, get out, and not see anyone. Living in a small town, however, means a higher chance of seeing someone you know. Thus, it’s imperative to maintain some sort of sartorial dignity when running the simplest of errands. Nothing beats the comfort of wearing your husbands oversized crew neck, so why not style it back to a pair of crispy white mini biker shorts and matching white kitten heels. A look so comfy and cool, you won’t mind sticking around for a little neighborhood chitchat.
For Kids Drop Off (IRL!)
While we have all loved playing homeroom teacher to our little ones (and coach, chef, playmate…), it is almost time for our kids to return to in-person school. Make a great first impression at drop-off by pairing a tailored white oxford with the Varsity cotton short. Tie the look together with a pair of fashionable bright loafers and maybe a small clutch for good measure, and plus, you’ll be perfectly dressed to rush back to your desk for your early morning Zoom meeting.
For Your Recreational Habit
Very few things can compare to playing golf on a fresh Spring morning. When I get ready for tee time, I love to layer a few pieces to adapt to the changing temperatures during the day. The Field quarter zip is the perfect top layer for your game with side slits that can be easily tucked into a pant or skirt for a tailored look. I love this prep school meets golf coach look, which will have you feeling chic on and off the green. Sidenote: Before he passed, my dad was an avid golfer and was rarely seen without a quarter zip of some sorts. The RH piece is inspired by him!
